I have been supporting the Springside—now Springside Chestnut Hill Academy—annual fund for almost 50 years. That includes early years when there wasn't a lot of disposable income in the household. Why? Because so much of who I was then and who I am now was influenced by great teachers. They showed you the possibilities and they inspired you to go beyond what you thought was possible. They didn’t let you settle for less than your best. Our 50th reunion reminded us that friendships, some  made in Kindergarten, have endured and enriched our lives for over 60 years. We are so very fortunate. I have continued my financial support so that those who came behind me would have lives as enriched by their school as mine has been.
