The school is located in a charming, historic section of the city of Philadelphia that provides access to the cultural opportunities of the sixth largest city in the United States, but with a village feel that allows our students to walk easily to school, into the village of Chestnut Hill, and to the nearby Fairmount Park system.
SCH enjoys a 62-acre campus that includes 11 buildings, including recently renovated athletic fields and facilities, and sits adjacent to the Wissahickon Watershed. Distinctive features of the campus include 17 laboratories, including a 1,600-square-foot state-of-the-art Robotics and Engineering Lab, Imagineering Lab, Physics and Engineering Lab for Lower School; historic national landmark Wissahickon Inn; Sol Lewitt installation; half-acre solar array installation; Low and High Ropes Challenge Course; and five performing arts venues.
