Athletes of the Week Ending 1/24

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending January 24:

Nolan Delaney ‘27 - Wrestling - Nolan has been the team’s anchor and leader all year, claiming two tournament titles and top 8 finishes at every tournament we have competed in. Against PC, Nolan bumped up to heavyweight from his typical weight class of 215 lbs and won by fall. He followed that victory up with 4 wins the next day at the Wildcat Invitational claiming a 2nd place finish. Nolan quietly sits at 25-5 on the year as he looks to qualify for his second trip to the National Prep Tournament. He has now put together back to back 24 plus win seasons. Keep pushing Nol!

Kelley Boyle ‘26 - Indoor Track - Senior Kelley Boyle has done an outstanding job keeping himself in shape despite the cold and snowy winter conditions. On Friday 1/23 at Lehigh University, Kelley was ready to compete and nearly matched his personal record in the 400m long-sprint event with a time of 56.90! He placed 26th overall and represented our team well. Great job Kelley, we appreciate your competitive spirit and effort!

Charlie Cobb ‘29 - Squash - Charlie is putting in the extra work and seeing good improvements in his court knowledge and skills. He has slowly worked his way up from #12 on the varsity roster to the 8 spot and is still climbing. His effort and dedication to getting better every day has not gone unnoticed, and he has a bright future ahead. We are proud of you, Charlie!

Jack Frank ‘30 - Squash - Jack showed outstanding resilience in his match against Shipley last week. After dropping the first game, he locked in, trusted the game plan, and made a key tactical adjustment. With nonstop effort and intensity, Jack battled point by point and powered through to an impressive four-game victory. Way to go, Jack!

Grace Talbot ‘30 - Squash - Grace brought relentless grit and heart in back-to-back matches last week. She fought through every point in a tough five-game battle against Shipley, refusing to back down until the very end. Carrying that same fire into her match against LMSD the next day, Grace elevated her play and delivered a huge win for herself and the team. Keep up the hard work, Grace!

Taylor Griggs '30 - Basketball - Taylor has been an excellent member of the MSG varsity with her skills and knowledge of basketball, and she plays a vital role on this team. She has been able to pass along her knowledge to her teammates and is always finding ways to help them out and putting them in the best position possible. Great work Taylor!

Clara Burns '32 - Basketball - Clara has been a great teammate for the MSG JV and has vastly improved her skills throughout the season. She is always looking for ways to get better and has been putting in tremendous amounts of work in practices and games. Looking forward to continuing to see her working hard. Keep it up Clara!
