Athletes of the Week Ending 4/4

The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending April 4:

Sadie Friedman '26 - Softball - Sadie, a senior captain, starting shortstop and Ursinus commit, has filled the crucial role of the lead-off batter very well this season! She now has an 11-game hitting streak and is leading the team with 17 hits, 3 doubles, a triple, 10 runs scored, and a .436 batting average. Sadie’s on-base percentage is an impressive .488! Way to go, Sadie!

Owen Kelly '26 - Lacrosse - Owen had 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers vs a strong Hill School team last week. He has been a steady presence all season for the defense and is an excellent role model for our younger players, always giving 100% at practice and games. We look forward to his continued success this season in the backfield!

Hallie Lima '28 - Lacrosse - Hallie has been a key defensive player as our goalie on the varsity team! She has tallied 25 saves in the past two games vs the #3 and #4 PA state-ranked private school teams, against very skilled players. Hallie comes up with big saves in critical situations, and she continues to improve in each game and practice. We are excited to see more of her progress and clutch saves this season!

Jonathan Vargas '27 - Tennis - Jonathan is a great student, leader, and asset to the JV team. His enthusiastic take-charge attitude always motivates the other athletes, and he is a great role model. He is worthy of his JV captain title and always puts forth his best effort. Keep forging ahead, Jonathan!

Zaine Trego '29 - Baseball - Zaine has been swinging the bat well since the start of the year. He continued his hot start to the season by helping SCH win their Inter-Ac opener vs Haverford with a 3-run homerun and 4 RBIs. Excellent work, Zaine!

Vincent Bechtold '32 - Baseball - Vincent has done a great job so far, as he has been a great contributor as a fielder and a hitter for the MS JV squad. His poise and willingness to learn have put his skills on display and have led to much success. In our first game against EA, he made great plays in the field, and he hit a home run in a close game! Great job, Vincent!
