The following students have been named Athletes of the Week ending February 14:
Finley Paul '28 - Basketball - Fin epitomized the definition of staying ready all season long for our team. In our PAISAA playoff matchup against GFS, she subbed in with 4 minutes left in the game when we were down 39-36. In one of our first offensive possessions, she hit a huge corner 3, tying the game at 39 and allowing us to win. While we ultimately came up just short, Fin’s ability to stay ready and position herself perfectly kept us in it. Whether she is on the bench or on the court, Fin is locked in and constantly encouraging her teammates. Her effort, work ethic, and joyful personality are something we are grateful for, and we look forward to seeing Fin continue to develop as we look ahead to next season.
Owen Kelly '26 - Basketball - Owen Kelly capped off his illustrious Blue Devil career in dominant fashion, averaging 21.6 points and 8 rebounds per game over his final five contests. A four-year varsity standout, Kelly solidified his place among the best players in school history. He finished his career with 1,364 points and helped lead the program to a 75–41 record during his time on varsity. A two-time First Team All-InterAc selection as a junior and senior, Kelly’s impact on the court was matched only by his consistency and leadership. He will continue his basketball journey at the Division I level, having committed to Lafayette College. Congratulations, Owen!
Shane Keefe '27 - Wrestling - Shane placed 7th in the 144 weight class after being seeded at the 10 spot at last weekend’s PAIS wrestling tournament, just missing qualification for Prep Nationals. He went 3-3 and had an impressive run in a very competitive category. Shane’s progress and hard work this season have not gone unnoticed, and we look forward to him having a great senior season next year! Proud of you, Shane!
Madison Nathaniel '28 - Indoor Track & Field - Madison changed her technique this season from glide to rotation, throwing shot put. This is a significant change and usually takes an athlete a few seasons to master the movements and compete really well. In her first season making this change, Madison qualified for Meet of Champions as a sophomore, which is even more impressive! At the championship meet, she threw 30'-3.5", and she was 5th against 9th and 10th graders. Congratulations on a great season, Madison!
Khai Hendricks '31 - Wrestling - Khai has shown great promise on the wrestling team this year, as evidenced by his 3rd-place finish at the InterAc tournament. He has a tremendous work ethic, great sportsmanship, and we look forward to more success in the future! Great job Khai!
Audrey Lane '31 - Basketball - Audrey has exceeded our expectations on the court this season. Her effort and dedication to working on her skills were on display in practices and games, and she showed great improvement with every passing day. We are so proud of you and know you have a bright future ahead, Audrey!
Carson Case '31 - Basketball - Carson has the heart of a lion and the intense determination the JV A team needed this year! He understood that his movement off the ball was just as important as handling the ball, and he did an excellent job at both. Carson scored numerous times in the lane with all of the bigs around him, and never gave up! Great work, Carson!
Vivian Guzinski '32 - Basketball - Vivian has been a great teammate, and she is a fearless competitor. The vast amount of improvement she has shown from the beginning of the season has been amazing, and her shooting and defense progressed exponentially. Great work this year, Vivian!
